(6-4): Text Analysis Today we reviewed the anthology text and went through the comprehension questions We discussed about a text we had previously read and read a text analysis You will use this example to write your own example Homework: Text Analysis - Workbook page 18 [Due: 04/22] Topic Sentence: - Text title 'Who Created Democracy' - Ancient Greek and Roman democracy vs. American democracy and how it began. Evidence: - different leaders in Ancient Greece and how they tried to improve democracy - Roman democracy was created through different branches of government - America claimed its freedom from the British and created a democratic nation using Greek and Roman ideas. - The text is split by using subheadings and also uses images and text boxes to support its points. Concluding Statement : Think about what can be learned from the text and evidence you have given.
