Hello everyone! Today in class: 6-1, 6-2: We reviewed folktales and their features. Then we started our first writing assignment for this semester. You picked a classic folktale and wrote a short summary about it (characters, setting, plot). After that, you identified the problem and solution of the original story. Then you made a new solution for the story, and started writing the first draft of your new unique folktale. 6-4: We reviewed folktales and their features. Then we read a text in the Wonders textbook called, "Inchworm's Tale". We completed a summary worksheet to identify the characters, setting, plot and lesson of the story. After that we talked about verbs and their tenses, and did an example on page 35 of the workbook. Homework: 6-4: Please complete page 35 of the workbook and bring your book back to the next class on Thursday. See you next time!
