Today we finished our mind map about the day and night sky. Then we wrote an introduction paragraph for our essay about our family. We looked at an example essay. The student wrote an introductions paragraph, 3 body paragraphs about 3 family members, and a conclusion. The student wrote one body paragraph for every family member. He explained why he chose to describe his family member with that simile. Then he wrote a conclusion paragraph that said how he felt about his family. Homework Complete the essay part of the writing assignment. In your body paragraphs, describe your family members using similes. Make sure you explain why you chose that simile for that family member. In your conclusion, you can write about how you feel about yourself and your family. Please bring the yellow folder with your writing assignment inside next week on Thursday. Have a great long weekend!
